MORE THAN A HELPING HAND

The small moments
mean everything.

A conversation over breakfast. A familiar routine. Someone who takes the time to listen.

We built Veyra around the everyday connections that help people feel comfortable, respected, and supported at home.

Let’s start a conversation

Care should feel personal.
Because it is.

THE VEYRA PHILOSOPHY

OUR STORY

Rooted in family.
Built to care for yours.

Veyra Home Care began with a shared belief between cousins Gabrielle Johnson, MBA, and Jasmine Mejia: the care we would want for our own family should guide the care we build for others.

As mothers raising four children between them, Gabrielle and Jasmine see legacy as more than a business passed from one generation to the next. It is the example they set through service, the people they support, and the trust they earn along the way. Veyra brings that purpose into the place where family life happens every day: home.

Their paths to Veyra are different, but deeply connected. Gabrielle brings a foundation in healthcare and organizational leadership. Jasmine brings experience in insurance, client advocacy, and operations, alongside a personal understanding of family caregiving. Together, they are building a family-owned organization where compassion is supported by thoughtful systems and accountability.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Different journeys.
One family standard of care.

Experience shapes how we lead. Family reminds us why it matters.

Gabrielle Johnson, MBA

Co-Founder & Administrator

Gabrielle’s professional foundation began in healthcare, with experience from 2012 through 2017 spanning revenue cycle management, medical billing and coding, Medicare and Medicaid processes, and direct clinical support in emergency, operating room, intensive care, and medical-surgical settings. That experience gave her a view of both the people receiving care and the organization working behind it.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Memphis and an MBA with a concentration in Health Administration. Her later work in real estate investment, development, and brokerage strengthened her experience in financial oversight, team leadership, regulatory processes, project management, and business operations.

Veyra brings those chapters together. As Administrator, Gabrielle focuses on administration, compliance, financial oversight, strategic partnerships, and the systems needed to support dependable care. Motherhood adds a deeply personal perspective: she understands the responsibility that comes with being trusted to care for someone’s loved one.

Her vision is to build an organization that supports caregivers as thoughtfully as it supports families, creating a lasting legacy of service for the next generation.

Jasmine Mejia

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Jasmine Mejia brings a unique blend of professional expertise, entrepreneurial leadership, and a deeply personal connection to caregiving to her role as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Veyra Home Care.

A graduate of the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Jasmine has built her career around advocating for individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging circumstances. Her professional background includes injury claims management, liability investigations, negotiations, regulatory compliance, and client advocacy. Through her experience in insurance, notary services, and entrepreneurship, she has developed a strong commitment to integrity, accountability, and exceptional service.

But Jasmine’s understanding of compassionate care began long before Veyra.

Her mother, a Certified Nursing Assistant since 1992, helped shape Jasmine’s understanding of what it truly means to care for others. Watching her mother lovingly care for her grandmother as she lived with dementia gave Jasmine a firsthand appreciation for the patience, compassion, and dignity that quality caregiving requires, as well as the emotional challenges families face.

Those experiences shaped her belief that exceptional home care goes beyond meeting daily needs. It should bring families peace of mind, preserve dignity, and ensure every individual feels genuinely valued and cared for.

As Chief Operating Officer, Jasmine focuses on Veyra’s daily operations, caregiver recruitment, client experience, and service quality, ensuring compassion remains at the heart of every decision.

As a wife, mother of three, and entrepreneur, Jasmine understands the importance of family and the value of building something meaningful. She’s passionate about creating a lasting legacy, not just through business success, but through the positive difference she can make in the lives of others.

For Jasmine, Veyra is more than a business. It is a commitment to building the kind of care she would want for her own family.
